Holiday at Home

Holiday at HomeHoliday at Home is held every other month and seeks to provide older folk with a lunch and afternoon tea, entertainment and opportunity to take part in a variety of activities such as crafts, board games, manicures and chair aerobics and a place to meet new friends.

We usually have between 70-80 people each time we meet together. Upon arrival our guests have lunch including soup and a roll and a choice of puddings. They then get involved in a variety of activities including craft, board games, table tennis, boules, manicures and chair aerobics

We follow this with a group activity; this can be anything from a movie to live entertainment! Our thought for the day is a short and simple evangelistic gospel message, delivered by a church member or minister from in or around Lymm. Afternoon tea is served before our guests leave around 3pm, giving a short time to catch up and chat about the afternoons activities. Each year we also have two special events, a summer coach trip and a Christmas party.
